Charles “Chuckie”  Alfred Keene, 80, formerly of Old Orchard Beach and Ocean Park, died April 7, 2020, at the Pine Point Health Center in Scarborough.

He was born, May 16, 1939, in Claremont, New Hampshire, son of Bert F. and Juliette Lizotte Keene.

Chuckie was a very private person.  He never married. He enjoyed walking several miles a day throughout the communities surrounding Old Orchard Beach where he did some of his grocery shopping. He wore an antique railroad engineer’s hat while doing  his errands.

In his retirement years he moved to The Pines, a retirement housing complex in Ocean Park, until his health required nursing care.  He then moved to the Pine Point Health Center in Scarborough.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Carol(Gay) Straton.  She died in February, 2020.

Survivors include a brother, Donald Keene of Old Orchard Beach and several nieces and nephews.

Following his wishes there will be no funeral.

Interment will be in the family lot with his mother and father in St. Mary’s Cemetery  in Biddeford.
