Obituary

Viola Faye Morse, 84, was born, February 6, 1932,  in Newport, Maine, the youngest of 10 children of George and Eunice Morrison.

She passed away peacefully Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough.

Faye graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School in 1951.  She began her working career as an Executive Receptionist  for Pratt  & Whitney Aircraft Mfg. in Hartford, Connecticut.

Always a strong minded, savvy and independent woman, she became a Real Estate Agent and later owned and operated several rental properties on her own.  In 1976, she acquired her home and business of "The Point of View Inn" in Old Orchard Beach.

Faye took great pride in creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere by her abundance of flowers on her beautiful wrap around porch at her seaside property.  Her guests returned year after year, mostly from Canada and some beyond.

Her lasting legacy will be how her warm hospitality and generosity mad a lifelong impact on so many of her loyal guests, friends and family. All who knew Faye felt most privileged.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Diana and her husband Brian Interland, Beverly, Massachusetts; Robin Morse, Portland; a son, Sterling Morse and his partner, Andrea Silva, Old Orchard Beach; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Morse, Caroline Kelly and Innes Jettinghoff; a sister, Freda Angers and nephew, Stewart Angers of Old Orchard Beach; several cousins nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be, 4 – 8PM, Monday, October 3, 2016, at the OLD ORCHARD BEACH FUNERAL HOME, 36 Portland Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, oobfh.com.  A Funeral Service will be held, at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2016, in First Parish Congregational Church, 12 Beach Street, Saco.
