MADAWASKA AND OLD ORCHARD BEACH—Karen Ann Dufour, 49, of Old Orchard Beach, formerly of Madawaska, died November 26, 2015, in Old Orchard Beach.

Karen was born in Edmunston, New Brunswick, November 22, 1966, a daughter of Gerald and Angela C. Cyr  St. Jarre.  She was educated in Madawaska Schools.

On August 31, 1991, she married John P. Dufour  in Madawaska.  During her adult life she was employed as a Mortgage Loan Officer by Mortgage Network.

Karen was a member of the former St. Margaret's Parish in Old Orchard Beach, now Good Shepherd parish.  She loved the Beach and her Flip Flops. She enjoyed walking the Beach year round.  When traveling on vacations her destinations were various beaches.

Survivors include her husband, John;  a son, Austin, both of Old Orchard Beach; her mother , Angela  St. Jarre Albert and her stepfather  Fernand Albert;  her father Gerald  St. Jarre and his longtime companion, Geraldine Khan;  a sister, Brenda Theriault and her husband, Keith, all of Madawaska; a brother, Jerry St. Jarre, of Norfolk, Virginia; her father in law, Leo Gerald Dufour, of Frenchville.

Visitation and a Funeral Mass were held in Old Orchard Beach.  A graveside service will be held in the spring in Madawaska.
