Glenn Wallis Townsend passed away at his home at 1 Glenwood Lane in Old Orchard Beach on Saturday, May 5, 2018, after battling cancer.  He leaves his wife, Jeanie Martin, two sons, Adrian, age 41, and Ethan, age 36, five grandchildren, two brothers, Paul of New Jersey and Gary of Massachusetts.

He was born in Boston, and grew up in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey.  He attended Franconia College in New Hampshire and Goddard College in Vermont.

He worked most of his life as a direct care provider for people with developmental challenges in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Vermont.

He loved music, especially the Blues, as well as poetry and all forms of the written word.

A Celebration of Life will be held, at 5:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the Whaler Restaurant, Staples Street in Old Orchard Beach.  Arrangements are by the Old Orchard Beach Funeral Home.
