Francis A. Basler, aka FAB, of Old Orchard Beach, ME, formerly from Hull, MA, died unexpectedly January 12, 2017. Frank or FAB loved the simple pleasures in life; his family, friends, good music and laughter. He had the warmest smile and contagious laugh. Frank was a gifted and talented man who loved to play his guitar and write songs. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He loved his model cars and was proud to be called the "grill master". FAB loved with his whole heart and touched many.

Those left behind to carry on include; Theresa McNamara, his true life partner; Mark McNamara, his son, best friend and working partner; Desiree, the mother of his two beautiful grandchildren, Noah and Kassidee. "Pa" adored Noah and Kassidee. They meant the world to him. He also has two sons from a previous marriage to Dianne Perkins-Basler; Joseph Basler and Daniel Basler who grew into great men and made their father proud. FAB is also survived by his brother, Joseph Basler and his wife Theresa Basler of Hull, MA; sister, Euanna Kelly (Basler) and brother, Richard Basler of Brockton, MA; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Alyssa and Kevin Basler and Lindzie Boucher all of Hull, MA; a boat load of aunts, uncles and cousins very dear to him; Cathie McInnis, Pattie Fleming and Richard Saia.

Services will be held at Old Orchard Beach Funeral Home, 36 Portland Avenue, Old Orchard Beach, ME, 04064. Visiting hours are from 11am to 1pm and services will be held at 1pm at the funeral home. A celebration of life will follow at the V.F.W. in Old Orchard Beach on Atlantic Avenue.
