Josh has always been an amazing young man. From the moment he was born my heart was filled with immense love for him. The world has been a much sadder place And much darker without his smile and laugh to lighten it. One of my most treasured memories is when he came back to the states to get his license and he stayed with us, we let him drive out 64 1/2 Mustang (and go figure, he bought a Stang when he got back to Germany lol) The pure joy on his face will always be in my heart. Love and miss you Joshua.

I knew Josh when he lived in NC, he was a neighbor and a friend, I was proud to have Known Josh, He took an American Flag I gave him on one of his tours to Iraq, he was able to fly it for one day on base, it still has sand in it, its cased in wood and glass, It Is my most Cherished possession, I was so proud of josh for his service, my heart is truly broken, my most Sincere condolences to the Houde Family, May He Rest In Peace,

I'm sad to learn of Josh's death. He worked for me, and although for a short period of time, it quickly became known that he had integrity, strength and pride in his work. May you rest in peace, enveloped in His eternal love. Cheryl. Labor Finders of VA.

Hello….I want to express my sincere sympathy for the loss of your loved one and share a hope promised in the Bible.
“The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.” (John 5:28, 29)
With the loss of your loved one I hope you can make a little time to study the Bible for yourself.
I hope that seeing the promise for yourself, and making this resurrection hope your very own, can give you some genuine comfort during this difficult time.
Thank you for reading my message.

I had the pleasure of serving with this great man, on and off duty. We had our ups and downs but we came together on the most important parts, army life/football rivalries. It seems like the last time we talked was yesterday even though i know it was much longer. Rest easy Soldier. I will see you again.

I want too express my condolences to the Houde familiy. Its so hard to write this because I am struggling from his loss. Joshua and I deployed together for 15 months, through out the deployment he kept me laughing even when I wanted to give up, when I wanted to breakdown, he held me together until we all made it back home We kept in touch via social media but sometimes life happens and we didn't speak for a while. I know that he wouldn't want me to cry or be sad but the pain seems never ending. To my brother, my friend, my supporter, my combat buddy, I miss you and I will always think of you until I close my eyes for the last time but I know I will see you again. Rest in Peace SSG Joshua Houde you are greatly missed.

RIP my brother in arms, it feels like yesterday we were in Iraq sitting talking about taking care of Soldiers! You were a special kind of guy that was always willing to learn and take care of your troops. You will truly be missed! Rest easy......Airborne!

Josh was an amazing man, inside and out. I'll never forget the memories we made together and the way he always had a way of making me smile. Forever in my heart. Never forgotten. With love, Alishia
